Hello Pinkdolly, my friend and I sayed at The Banya Tree Resort itself, which was excellent! We didnt realise the Beach Resort was so far away from the actual Resort itself, was a good 30 minute drive!! They did have a shuttle bus to take you to the 'pier' followed by a charming boat ride, which took approx 5 minute to the Beach Resort, which was a nice touch. Whilst there, we asked to see one of the rooms, which were very nice, as they were right on the beach. There is a great infinity pool, but only one restaurant to have lunch in, THATS IT!!
Personally I would suggest staying at the Resort itself, all rooms have their own pool anyway, you also have a selection of Restaurants and Bars and the Spa was amazing, especially the Rainforest Experience! You can always go to the Beach Resort for a day, which is what we did. I will defo go again, this time with my Hubby!!
My Hubby and I went to Al Maha Desert Resort about 18 months ago, which was a lot more expenive, rooms were lovely, but personally I thougth The Banya Tree was better, more Restaurants and Bars...Spa was better too.
Hope this helps.
:)
Friends stayed at both and said Beach Resort was terrible, Desert resort was fantastic and thought it was hard to believe it is the same Hotel. They stayed there last Ocotber.
Thanks CitronKB have already searched on here but did not gain much info, did you stay at the Beach Resort part? How was the restaurant as I understand they only have one at the beach? Did you go for any dinners at the Desert Resort part? As I understand its quite a way from the Beach resort.
All info would be very helpful to me, thanks.
Hi we have booked the the Banyan Tree al Wadi Beach Resort for a weekend in February, has anyone been to the Beach Resort of this hotel and can tell me what it is like, Tripadvisor had mixed reviews.
Many thanks.
