Hail w zafaraan (they have a branch In barsha mall) sells mixes some with dates, thy come in nice metal boxes. Very presentable for gifts and for offering Sweets. Bateel have the best plain dates, other shops I've tried all had dried out old dates

Chocoa next to MOE has dates and other dried fruit. Munch and Crunch at Souk Madinat also sells dates and nuts. The one I've been intending to check out but never get around to it is a place called Tmreya in Umm Suqueim. They make sweets out of dates. Not sure of the exact location, though. Finally, there are several shops in Barsha Mall (where Union co-op is) that sell dates. One in particular comes to mind for the beautiful arrangements, but I can't recall the name.
