My parents are here visiting and want to buy us some baby things for the upcoming arrival of our little one. We're looking for things like baby bathtub, stroller, playmat, etc.... Can anyone suggest one mall with most of the baby stores? We were thinking of going to Babies R Us at Festival City and then over to Mirdiff CC to go to Baby Shop. Is there anything better?

I wanted to buy a very good quality crib. I was thinking to go to Toys R Us, but I think there are other places with better choice. Maybe you guys know? I would like to see a good selection of cribs. edited by Pixie2011 on 13/11/2011 Mothercare and Mamas & Papas have a good quality cribs. You can check Mothercare catalogue and order the one you like. Also check Babyshop and Goodbaby stores Thank you so much. I definitely would check it out. As you know some drop side cribs are unsafe and have been recalled. I definitely would splurge on a good quality crib.

Try going to Lulu's - there's a huge department store upstairs, you can find good quality stuff for a great non-mall price. Worth a look.

Has anyone checked out JustKidding in SZR? Haven't been there but looks interesting. It's good but super expensive :(

Thanks for all of the great suggestions! We went to Babies R Us yesterday in Festival City and my parents insisted on buying us a stroller and carseat and all kinds of other goodies for our baby boy. So sweet but my DH was like, "No, no we're buying that stuff, not your parents". My parents are just like that, they've always spoiled us "kids" even though us "kids" are nearly 40 now! It was funny watching my Dad with the stroller because he knew more about it than me since my sister had a baby 3 years ago and my parents have been looking after him for the last 2.5 years during the daytime while she works.

All the maternity, baby, and kids shops are next to each other in the Same lane, in Mirdif City Center. It makes shopping very easy and convenient.

Awesome thread! I was thinking the same thing. I will be in Dubai in the beginning of March and I think I will check out those places. I need a crib, car seat, clothing, breast pump, etc...

Hi CoffeeGal, I would stick to your plan - festival city then MCC. MCC has a big BabyShop, massive Mothercare, a Mamas and Papas, and loads of "those shops" i dont really go in to - more designer prices. and MCC is much nicer to walk round than the endless Dubai Mall. Good luck, hope the wee one gets lots of goodies. :-)

My vote for Dubai Mall as well. You can find every shop there and get pretty much everything you need :)

Babyshop might be worth a try in Ibn Battuta Mall or Dubai Mall. Dubai Mall also has lots of very expensive Baby clothing if you fancy a bit of designer stuff on them - paid for by grandparents:) Although personally after having two babies myself Baby Gap for clothes worked a treat especially the socks which have grips underneath and the Baby Gap annual sales which are well worth a visit every time for good discounts. Sorry probably not answering your actual question. Best of luck with baby!

You could go to Dubai Mall - all the baby shops are next to each / close by on the top floor. Although there isn't a Babies R Us, they have Mothercare, Baby Shop, Premaman, Chicco, Adams Kids, Carters, Mammas and Pappas and many more. Otherwise, you could go to Festival Centre to Babies R Us and check out Ikea whilst you're there. Don't forget, ACE is just across the road from Festival Centre and they have some good things too... Happy shopping. Most exciting time of your life, waiting for baby to come along.
