I can second Draino, in the tin. Fab stuff great on blocked shower drains ... works a dream but I hate to think what's in it - good luck!

Try this... it is safe and uses common household/ kitchen items. I have used it before and it worked for me. May not work if super clogged, but worth a try in my opinion.
Pour half a cup of baking soda down the drain and then add half a cup of white or cider vinegar. Let it sit for an hour or longer if you can, and then flush the drain with (lots of) hot water.

Is it a food blockage? If so shove some Drano powder down there.
If it's non-dissolvable are you able to take the trap/u-bend off under the sink and remove whatever's in there?
Hi, there has been an incident involving cleaning out the toaster that has resulted in a blocked sink (well both of them in the kitchen). i dont have a plunger. what the h*ll do i do?!?!
obviously i want to rectify it before DH comes home so i dont look completely helpless...
ANY advice appreciated
