I did mine recently and it was back in 10 working days
I would do it ASAP though as the closer it gets to Summer in the UK the long the wait is

It's very easy, do the application on line, pay on line, then you send a copy of the application, along with photo's and your old passport directly to HM Passport office. DHL have a deal with HM Passport office and will send it for AED 200 (express service), it arrives there within 2 working days. The passport office will then send you your new passport back, followed by your old passport and the courier cost for return is included in the online payment.
I did mine last month and it took 2 weeks from application to getting my new and old passport back.
