We are considering moving to the Dubai Investment Park area. we are looking for a 2-3 bedrooms maximum. Where is considered a good place for a family and what company to avoid? do you have special recommendations? TIA

thanksalot ladies, great info...i guess the only factor im hesitant about living in DIP - dunes village is it seems too far away from my office which is in Deira,City Centre. i prefer discovery gardens because my sister lives there. thanks for the info though, im loving Expatwoman interactions :) :)

That's really helpful. my boy is still 3 years old! joining KGs! so am still not worried about secondary! although I prefer not to change schools, but who knows! I already visited the school, it looks good, just like many schools, that's why am asking about feedback! so any more information would be really helpful. about both the school and the area! TIA

Thank you ladies for the feedback! one more thing to ask about: do you know anything, have you enrolled your kids there, or heard something about the school called "Nibras" if am spelling it right! we found space there for our boy and that's why we are considering the move! any suggestions? TIA I think it depends on the age of your child. Apparently, better in primary than secondary. Also, I understand that the final exams taken are from the Lebanese SAT curriculum, so not the same as American curriculum. Have known a fair few people who changed from Nibras when their children were 14 or 15, partly because they felt their children would not get recognized qualifications at the end.

Nibras is an American Curriculam school. I didnt look at it because the Curriculam didnt suit me so no feedback im afraid. Book an appiointment with the reception so you can have a look at the school. Good luck. we enjoyed our time living there !

I used to live in DIP until last year. Reasons why we loved it : 1 - It was lovely and quiet 2 - The Market which houses the Choitrams is great, they have a good selection of resurants and you can pop over to the courtyard Marriot. 3 - The apartments were spacious and the finishing was lovely ( union properties ) parking was good. 4 - Bus that takes you to Ibn Battutta 5 - Apartments are really spacious. 6 - Lovely hair and nail Salon ( Patsi Collins ) Reasons why we moved 1 - it was far for family and friends to travel ( all live in new Dubai ) they always complained about the commute ! 2 - that huge roundabout was a nightmare, saw some horrific accidents and was involved in one myself 3 - We had our A/C with Emicool and it was terribly expensive 4 - Husband changed jobs and GC was too far to commute, I changed Jobs, School for our son was too far, the area didnt have any British schools ( I didnt like Al Warood ) so we had to move. 5 - getting in and out of the GC at peak times would take a long time

I have some info you asked for, there is a Choitrams at Green Community, and Ewan has a small Spinneys. There is a RTA bus route.[ think it is Bus 92'> which goes to Ibn Batutta.

hi thanks, i am also looking for a studio appartment and DIP is one of the option. Kindly let me know if its reliable place to live considering the following factors: for bachelor living (female), is it close to discovery gardens, public transport is easily available or not, shopping centres close by or not.
