My eight year old has been complaining of stomach pain so the doctor asked for an ultrasound which shows that he has gallstones. I would like to know if there is anyone else on the forum who has been in a similar situation and what you did? Our appointment with the gastroenterologist is still a few weeks away.

Thank you for the replies. We are based in Doha and as much as I am worried about the waiting, we want to have him registered with the hospital and doctor. I thought there may be someone on the forum who could suggest some remedies that may have helped them. I am looking into whether homeopathy could help?

If your insurance covers it, I would definitely recommend Dr Mazin at Dubai Mall clinic, he is fabulous and will definitely recommend best thing to do, he is very thorough and I can honestly say the treatment I received from him was amazing. I have recommended him several times to different people and they have not been disappointed. My insurance no longer covers me at his clinic, but I still choose to pay and see him myself.

That does seem like rather a long time.

Poor boy. If you are sure that the pain he has is from the gallstones (especially if it doesn't go away) push for a closer appointment with the gastro.. Sometimes they are painless and just show up on scans, so the drs won't do anything (they just wait for them to pass with the urine). Worst case scenario he might have to remove his gall bladder.
