I agree with what AnonDubai said. Do you know what kind of curly hair you have? As in texture, porosity etc. I've got fine, normal porosity 3c type hair. I'm learning what my hair does and doesn't like all the time. Definitely minimize the amount of heat you use. Another think I want to look into is the water here and getting a special shower filter as I think the water here isn't good for my hair. I try and use as many natural things for my hair, deep condition with homemade mixes, seal moisture in with oils like almond/jojoba/coconut oil. Look into youtube videos as I found really helpful tips from women with similar hair type to me.
Can't help with salons, I'm quite new and would love some recommendations myself!
Hi! I felt like responding even though I don't have any advice for you. I just wanted to discuss curly hair. There are different types of curly. Mine is more of a soft curl that falls downwards. My hair is fine. Why do you bother getting it cut other than just the edges? Curly hair looks nice when it is natural and long. I wear a headscarf and I notice that my curls look so much better if I put the headscarf on when my hair is slightly dry. I go out for an hour in the morning and then take the headscarf off. My curls just fall down rather than sticking out because they were pressed for an hour. I don't use any products. Like you, I am fed up with the flat iron. It is all good when you are in your 20s but once you hit mid 30s, you realize that you can't go on like this anymore. I rarely straighten anymore.
Hello ladies, need your suggestions pls.
I have curly hair, however my hair is also thin and frizzy. The frizz has been mainly due to my over dependence on the hot iron. So, I want to give my hair a break. I would love to leave my curly hair as it is. I need a good hair stylist who can give me a cut for my curly hair. Every time I go to the hair dressers, I usually end up with a cut that needs some bit of styling. I once had luck at this salon called Juice in Mankhool. She gave me an amazing cut and I rocked it for quite a while :D But once it grew back, I went back to her, and she just couldn't do it again :(
Do you have recommendations for a hair stylist who knows how to go with different hair textures?
Also, any tips/products to maintain healthy curly hair?
Thank you so much for listening! :)
