Hi,

I understand JLT has district cooling but some buildings advertise as chiller free which used to be old DEWA system where chiller is free and you pay for water. Can someone please tell me that indeed some buildings in JLT are normal DEWA not district cooling and which ones are they? Will be very grateful!! Thanks!!

Hi, i am in green lakes s1. I was shocked after my first year of being there I was asked to pay a 10,000 dhs bill for chiller. Apparently since they dont have individual meters (which i think they are working on) concordia distribute the total building chiller fees to each apartment. I complained about this as I travel a lot with work and therefore rarely in my apartment. I eventually negotiated with my landlord to pay half of the bill only. I am still in the same apartment, but with a new landlord and I negotiated a fixed rate to pay each month until the meters come on board.....

Yes - i live in Green Lakes S3 (different Management than S1 and S2). Just make a search regarding Green Lakes in EW and see if its still an option for you. Actually you will not find so much kids in the Green Lakes, only babies and up to 2-4 years. I know that in the Tamwel and Al Seef Towers are many many families, same with MAG 214 (or 218??) in JLT.

Green Lake Towers are Chiller Free. We only pay the normal DEWA charges + housing fee. <em>edited by Gege_DXB on 26/01/2012</em>
