If you have one, can you give details of it?

If anyone knows someone who has actually claimed( I know a bad question) such insurance? I have read that such insurances actually give you money only at the last stage of illness, and that's what they called "critical illness". I was wondering if they define, stages of illness in their policy??? For example breast cancer stage 2 or 3???

Well, we have covered ourselves for critical illness and this was one of the question that I asked too. Its basically what the report states and if it is declared as one of the conditions that are listed, this should be simple to process. Disability benefits are trickier in fact.

It really depends on the wording of policies some only pay out once a doctor has declared the policy holder is deemed to have less than 12 months to live. Some don't cover all cancers as some will be deemed survivable. There are specific 'well woman' health policies which pay out regardless once certain cancers are diagnosed but that's a totally differt policy to critical illness.

Thanks everyone. I have spoken to one guy, who is highly recommended here and he was useless. Never responded after I told him, the plans he sent to me do not match my criteria. He seems to be offended and never replied. Thanks again pollysxb, Will try this broker also... Let's see if he can help. :sleepy:

Probably best to engage the services of an insurance broker who is an expert in these matters. Alternatively, a financial advisor may be able to assist. They will also have the best experience in helping their clients make claims and will be able to tell you which companies are reliable and prompt in their payouts.

I think it depends on small print in terms and conditions and what cover you have taken. My brother got diagnosed with cancer about six years ago, I don't know the grade but after treatment has been fine. He did have an insurance policy whereby his entire mortgage got paid off.
