Hey Ice-cream queen,
i actually had a good experience with dr afif, i had my tummy done 4months back, the hospital nurses were very helpful, and dr afif is adorable, you feel safe dealing with him, he knows what he is doing, you are in safe hands, good luck!
Just a note of caution, my friend had a tummy tuck at Emirates Hospital about a year ago. They did not give her any antibiotics afterwards (considered routine in other hospitals) and she ended up in intensive care with a very nasty infection. The good news is the infection got better and she looks fantastic. The surgeon did a great job. But she could have died. I don't want to be alarmist, just please ensure you get the antibiotics afterwards.
I have never used this Dr, but highly recommend Emirates Hospital for surgery. I have had a couple of planned surgeries and also one emergency one there. The staff and nurses are excellent in my opinion and they always remember you when you go back. Good luck

I had a breast surgery back in 2005 with Dr.Afif Kanj, he is very Syria if the same one? he was excellent in terms of my stiches are done so well no one can even say, At the time he had a bit of English language problem otherwise he was very good doctor. Overall I was very happy with him. Tummy tcuk is a bit different please do your research also make sure you select a doctor that you feel very comfortable, I had selected another doctot do not remember the name but she got sick at the day of my surgery and Dr. Afif did it I was so scared but he turned out to be very good. Good luck to you. By the way forgot to say I was also very happy with the nurses at Emirates hospital, very clean and good nurses.
Hi I am thinking about having a Tummy Tuck with this Dr from CosmeSurge and would like to know if anyone has had first or second hand experience with dealing with this Dr that you would be happy to share. Or your experience with CosmeSurge, Surgeries at the Emirates Hospital?
Thank you so much for your help.
