I have been in Dubai Court in several occasions, and for the first time today, went to Public notary to translate and certify some documents, but they would'nt let me in. Their new instructions say that the dress should covers the body from shoulders to below the kees, not transparent or appealing. Sounded reasonable to me except that I had a below knees skirt, half length sleeves and neck line blouse, but was told it should be long dress and long sleeves. Thought to let you know before you waste your time and be sent back.

It's good to know. However, I was not in the courts, but in the notary office where you translate and authenticate documents. So it's not only if you have a court case. And knowing that I am always dressed conservatively, below knees and elbow length sleeves, that was not enough, what is required is long skirt and long sleeves.
