This infuriates me....
Mommies and Daddies that speed through Motor City, Arabian Ranches and Victory Heights with your kids in the car, cutting other cars off only to catch up at a light or to zoom ahead and not stop at a 2 way stop I just want you to know how selfish you are. You are not only endangering your life, your kids but also mine and my familys well being. When you cut in front of me because you want to go faster then the posted speed limit and get t-boned by oncoming traffic I will do the moral thing and help get you and your kids out of your SUV. I will administer first aid and call 999 for you. I will however tell the police about your wreckless driving and hope that they not only take your car away but put you in jail. You are selfish!

Do you drive like that in your village, town or city in your home country? If you are from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka I understand that this is normal, however you Western people that follow strict laws in your home country at what point did you forget how to drive and decide that it's okay to speed through neighborhoods, pass vehicles that are doing the speed limit or over and drive like an idiot? I especially like when you speed down residential streets! Great job!

Don't be surprised when the police knock at your door. I now make a point of calling the police to report wreckless driving. A certain porsche owner was told to slow down or his car would be taken away.

I'm fed up with the taxi drivers using the place like one big race track. I called the RTA to complain and asked why they can't put out a warning for cabbies to be more careful in residential areas, to be told they couldn't possibly do that and I had to report the bad driving, then once a few of them have fines, the rest will learn. Tragic.

The blood pressure is okay. I'm just venting. I just can't believe people put their kids in these situations...that's the selfish part. Well, it's all slefish because they're putting us in it too. I hear you about the delivery drivers....time for a break! Well, was supposed to go this Eid but my friend from Doha had to change dates so off to Mussandam with the family and Turkey maybe next month? I love the cool weather so I'm hoping she can make it. 50 days till christmas.....that'll get the blood pressure going!! ha ha !! Drive safe ladies!! <3

I had to do an emergency stop ON the AR / Motor City roundabout the other week, even though I was in the correct lane and indicating, a driver decided he didn't need to stop and give way to me. Arrogant, slefish and stupid.

not just the car drivers though - we've just moved to Meadows and the idiot food delivery guys on mopeds were racing each other on Thursday night when I was taking DD to a party. We saw the aftermath of that accident in Springs too - it beggars belief. I don't understand why when they build these big new roads they don't automatically put in speed cameras as are on Al Wasl and Beach Roads - Al Barsha was a racetrack too, one of the reasons we moved. Right - must get back to unpacking - can feel the vibes from DH lol

Sadly I'm finding out there are plenty of drivers here that are just as bad. I was very nearly cleaned up by some lunatic yesterday. He just had to fly around the roundabout faster than everyone else and screech off into the distance down the motorway. Five minutes later we all caught up with him behind a truck. Three mins after that was his exit. I will never understand why people drive like lunatics when studies show it (on average) does not get you 'there' any faster and it does increase your risk of accident. Hope your blood pressure is back to normal dogcatcher! (how's that Istanbul planning coming along? :) )

unbelievable, yet so believable! All of this to get to that light faster....give me a break! Let's not forget driving as fast as you can thru Motor City past the parked cars. As I drive through there I am slow and anticipating that a little person will stray from their parents and walk into the street. So, pass me if you like....I'm in the black Taho!

Should have seen the horrific wreck of a 4x4 that was left after some fool had gotten t-boned yesterday in the springs. So obviously jumped the lights and got blind-sided, nothing left of the car.
