Is it possible to walk from the Dubai Festival City metro to the IKEA? Google maps shows a walking route that cuts through random property for a 7 minute walk...not sure if that would work!

Rumour has it that the Festival City stop on Green Line opens on Friday September 9th. Best not to try taking an IKEA flat pack bookcase back home on it though :)

There is no metro station near Festival City. The nearest would be the Emirates HQ one. Thats a very,very long walk, along the main road,possible during nice weather, now near impossible in the heat. There may be feeder buses from the station though.
