Hi ladies,

I know I've seen it discussed here before about the 'quirks' of e-vision, but search isn't cooperating right now.

I'm having issues with the speech- words not matching up to mouths, and also the time changes every time I switch off the tv, so I miss the starts of shows or even complete shows when using the PVR function.

Is there any easy way to record each episode of a tc show? At the moment I'm searching by date for the week ahead and programming them in, but I wondered if there is anything like 'series link' which we had on cable back in Oz. Basically you press a button in the PVR menu and it will record each episode automatically.

I know the box you get with OSN direct has this, but Etisalat claim they've never heard of it, even though they're pretty much selling me OSN, over their connection (as my building is wired through them only and not Du)

Any ideas???

FYI if you tweet Etisalat with your "improvement" ideas you might get somewhere, I started tweeting them at the weekend about the rugby and tv system going down and they responded this morning!! @etisalatuae - just amended the twitter name! I have emailed them asking who to send improvement ideas to! edited by pollydxb on 09/10/2011

:) I hear you I do. I just can't understand why Du / OSN and Etisalat can't have the same up to speed systems! I have never had OSN but had Du in the Marina and Etisalat in the old town and I just could not believe the difference.

Ooh the other thing that does my head in, is when you look at what you've got scheduled to record & it just has the channel, and time- but no show name! So to remember what it is you have to remember the time then go look it up- why is it not possible for them to have the name, or just the first word of the title?? lol rant over

Ok I have worked out that switching off the box is not enough, you have to pull the plug like you said. Also, I could not delete anything off the PVR, until I figured out that when is says "Press OK to delete" it means ONLY the OK button on the actual box, the one on the remote does nothing!!! It just sucks because I do trips away, sometimes a week at a time and it's easy to forget to program it. Apparently Etisalat don't have this option at all for series link even though the OSN website says their boxes do. It's meant to be the same one! I explained all this when I signed up and they said I'd be getting exactly the same thing, just that the data comes through the Etisalat lines as our buildingis wired with them. Well it isn't and I don't!! I also got the e-Plug thing as I wanted the tv in my room and the optic box is i nthe shared living area. Well the ePlug kills every other signal in the flat including wifi and phones!!! We have now opted for me to use an old fasioned cable from the optic to my cable box (nailed it to the wall, how high-tech lol) and now etisalat are saying they wont take the eplugs back- they were used for ONE DAY!! I had to pay 300dhs for them too!!! grrrr

Welcome to my World!!! We have had exactly the same problems, syncing of tv and sound not in line! When I have seen the time stop or whatever it normally means the system has crashed, and for the 100x that day I have pulled the plug out of the system. I have not figured out either how to record a series, each day I have to remember to programme into the recorder the shows I want recording - arghhh. Du on the other hand it was as easy as pie to do all of this, so annoying when you don't live in their catchment area! Sorry aboslutely no help at all, but I feel your pain!! We have had an Etisalat technician around at our house again today, about the 10th time in a month. Both last Sunday for the Tottenham match and this Saturday for the rugby the tv box has an error, and won't do anything. It is just awful.
