I've just found out we're flying to Dubai for the first time on a new A380! We'll only be in Economy class but is it going to be a fun ride? Do tell if you've flown on the new plane!

We flew Dxb to New York both ways on the A380. Its sooo comfortable in business class as the seat is almost a bed. I watched 4 movies and before I knew it we were in NYC. Great aircraft, hope u enjoy yr flight.

Just got back from Australia and was lucky enough to travel both ways business on the A380. it really makes that long flight a breeze. I have also done economy on it, feels roomier, but I feel the seats are not as comfortable. Not sure if true but I was told the padding was a lot thinner on the seats in the A380.

I didn't find it any different in Economy on the 380 much the same as the other planes It was nice to tell all my friends at home that i had flown the airbus though hehe

A380's are great planes, however you really only notice the real difference comes when you go business/first. However sitting in Eco - which is what I did, it was so nice to sit on a nice new plane, where everything worked.

My last flight was in Economy class as I was flying with an infant (was hoping that many other kids will be around me this time but was not lucky). There are not much differences between Business & Eco when it comes to the entertainement and food. The main difference is that in business and 1st class, you have a full bed and partitions between you and your neighboors; which are very convenient for long flights. I love the mini bar at the back of the plane. Plenty space for strectching and good place to socialize.

We've flown long hauls between Dubai and North America both in an A380 and a B777 - I wouldn't say economy class was much different between them, except that the A380 I felt had more seat space (but not a huge amount more). Everything else (sevice, entertainment system, etc) was the same as other planes. With the A380 I think the real difference comes when you go business/first. It was a comfortable ride though, so have fun! :)

I've been on it twice now and it's fab :) First time we were in economy class and there was plenty of room, good TV choice and friendly cabin crew. We were lucky enough to fly business last week. That was great fun (when we finally left Manchester - a day late because it broke down and they couldn't fix it on the Monday) and DD felt like royalty! We both really liked the cameras that let you see underneath the plane and in front of it. Not much good when you are really high, but great at take-off and landing :)
