I know I have 30 days. My questions is : 1) Must I leave with my husband together? I wants to leave 10 days after cancellation and I want to leave 20 days after cancellATION. His employer PRO says we MUST but I am hearing different. So, [u'>MUST WE LEAVE DUBAI TOGETHER???[/u'> 2) With American passport, when I exit, can I come back to Dubai after few days or [u'>DO I HAVE TO WAIT 30 DAYS BEFORE i COME BACK AFTER EXITING???[/u'>

Thanks Aleta and Debliz. Well looks like I can exit with my husband and return alone in a day or two, getting a visitor visa upon entry to spend time with my friends. What I heard was when the husband's residence visa is cancelled, he has 30 days to leave and MUST leave TOGETHER with his wife and neither of them [b'>cannot [/b'>[u'>[/u'>come back to dxb for at least 30 days. Nothing is clear on their website, thus worried and confused.

I agree with Debliz, the easiest thing to do would be a visa run to Oman. I'm American and I did this every month for 10 months while I was getting my license to practice here in Dubai. They stamp it with a "visit visa" for 30 days, no question. They might ask for your address in Dubai and mobile number but that's it. I never even gave a specific address, just "Bur Dubai."

Hi there. I have a British passport but went through this process a couple of months' ago. When our residence visas were cancelled we got our passports back with a couple of bits of paper from the Immigration Department stapled to them. These papers said that we could remain for 30 days, by the end of which time we had to either leave the country or change our status. DH's new residency came through before the end of the 30 days but mine didn't. What I did was go to Hatta. Hand in my passport with the bits of paper. When I got my exit stamp the officers at the Dubai exit post kept the bits of white paper. Then I went through to the Omani border post. Got my entry visa and exit visa stamped in my passport and returned to the Hatta border post where my passport was stamped with the normal 30 days tourist visa. In other words, I did a 'visa run'. Thankfully my new residence visa came through a couple of weeks' later so I didn't have to do another 'visa run'. HTH

I have a american passport. We are relocating to another country. Is it true that when my husband's company cancel the residence visa, I his wife will need to exit with him?? I know that once residence visa is cancelled, you also have up to 30 days (not 1 month) to exit the country. [u'>If I have to exit with my husband, can I come back to Dubai as a tourist within a week after exiting? or do I have to wait for specific period after the exit date before I can come back as a tourist.? [/u'>I want to come back to Dubai to spend time with my friends as my husband needs to leave Dubai ASAP to join new employer in another coutry once the residence visa is cancelled. I hope someone out there can share their knowledge or experience on this exit visa question.
