Sandy123, if you think you have Bleph, pop into your Dr to have it checked. I get it now and then because of rosacea. I wash with Cetaphil and make sure I clean the base of the lashes well. It could be possible that with the extensions the base of the lashes did not get cleaned as well? anyway, have your Dr. check it if it gets worse. Just a thought :)

Sandy, to thicken your eyelashes and for their growth apply castor oil on your eyelashes every night before bed. I did this for a while and had no side effects. Google it for extra info. All the best! Thank you so much for the advice Swissroll, i'm definitely gonna try it when my eyelids heals from the Blepharitis :(

Hi Sandy, I have been getting eyelash extensions for a few months also - and have stopped, because I can also see that my real eyelashes are just dissapearing. Same thing happened to me where it was just a whole of fake eyelashes glued toghether hanging by a thread on the whats left of your real ones! They do look amazing, but in the long run it can't be good for your eyelashes....so I've decided only on special occassions with they go back on now! My eyelashes have grown back pretty quickly, but are thinner than normal..I think it will take another month until there good again. Good luck, and don't worry I'm sure they will sprout back soon! (just use a bit of eyeliner on your eye...for me it looks like I have more eyelashes this way until they grown back!) Thank you for the reply Poomba, unfortunately i cant's use eyeliner or any kind of make up because i think i have Blepharitis (Eyelid Inflammation) so i'm just hoping that i won't loose the few lashes that i still have :( edited by Sandy123 on 28/10/2012

Why not get some packets of false eyelashes? I wanted extensions some time ago, but Angela at Merle Norman told me not to, saying that she uses false eyelashes when doing make-up as, as happened to you, extensions come off, taking your originals with them. I've used her for years so am glad I went along with her advice now! I would hate for my lashes to be gone. This is now the second horror story I've heard about originals going. Good luck growing them. They shouldn't take too long, get some prenatal vitamins, they encourage healthy growth. I had the same problem when I had mines done at a salon recomended by many even on this site. Just try using castor oil , it helped with mine

I had mine done for my wedding. they looked great on the day but as they came off, so did my real lashes. It took about 4 - 5 weeks to look okay again. I would never do it again!

I had temporary ones put on for a wedding and I thought they were horrible. I also lost several eyelashes and I found wearing them very uncomfortable. It is not something I'd ever do again. I think it's better to invest in some good mascara!

I had the same problem; eyes got itchy and irritated after about 2-3 weeks and all the false (with original) ones fell out; looked a sight for the 6 weeks it took for them to grow back. I think some eyelids are just more sensitive than others and the glue they used on mine was so strong that it burned my eyes for 30minutes afterwards. I went to a reputable salon but I am not so sure they didn't skimp on the product quality. Too terrified to ever try again - even not the do it at home ones - assume they also use "super-glue"?

Hello Ladies, i had my eyelash extension done 5 month ago in a very reliable Salon in Dubai (one of the most famous salons here ), i did a lot of research before doing it ,all said it's totally safe as long as you go to a professional technician so i did ,i paid 600 DHS for a full set , and kept refilling on time every two weeks for 200 DHS , after a period of time my left eyelid became really itchy so i went to the technician and she checked it and said its all right and it's probably some fake lashes scratching my eyelid, the itchiness went away for a while to come back later in a severe way, i woke up one morning and my both eyelids were very red and swollen, and when i checked my eyelashes i found out that they were all glued together !!! it was horrifying, i went directly to the salon, and when they checked it they advised me to remove the extension right away, and then i found out that i practically lost most of my natural lashes (they were all glued together and it was impossible to remove the glue without pulling them out) !!! now i look horrible with few lashes left (very short and weak with a huge gaps ) and the swollen red eyelids :( does anyone know how much time i need to get my natural lashes back (i really hope they grow back again ) ?? i've been reading about eyelash conditioners that helps to grow your eyelashes , but i don't have enough courage to try, any advice ?? Thanx alot
