A couple of days ago I decided to order tickets on line for the EW Garden Party at the end of the month. Went through the whole procedure, entered card details and verification, only for a message to flash up saying that the transaction had failed. I emailed EW asking why this order may have failed, but didn't get a response.

Fortunately I didn't try to order more, as when I checked my bank statement today, the transaction was successful and the money for the tickets has been taken. I have emailed them again today as I have no idea if two tickets have been reserved for me, or how, or where, to get them.

So if you are ordering on line, be cautious.

Unrelated to your issue but I had log-in problems two Thursdays in a row and didn't hear back from anyone at EW until at least Sunday afternoon. I don't think they work weekends.

@SueB As I said in my first posting, two days ago when I was ordering the tickets and the message 'transaction failed' appeared, I did contact EW, but did not get a response. When I discovered today that the money had been taken from my account, I contacted them again. So sorry, I don't understand your comments regarding horse / barn, etc. When I do hear from them I will share the information. In the meantime, I wanted to alert people to a possible problem, which seemed to me to be a sensible thing to do. edited by amelia on 21/10/2011

amelia, I have to assume that, before you posted here about the problem, you contacted EW directly to let them know there was a problem. They would find out and fix it quickly I am sure. Posting here before informing EW is kind of horse out of the barn before the door is closed etc.... You are curious to know what is happened? I am sure someone from EW will get back to you asap and as soon as you know hopefully you will share the information.

To be honest, the only things I order on line are from shops in the UK to be delivered within the UK, transaction is done through my UK Barclays account and I don't do that very often. I won't even register a credit card on line here for something like utility payments. If it can't be paid by transfer through my bank, it gets paid by cash or cheque. This order was done on the EW website so I am curious to know what has happened. edited by amelia on 21/10/2011

I don't trust online shopping/ordering here too much anyway.
