I know these sponsorship / maid threads are done to death, however I can't find the correct info on the internet - all the government websites are terrible!
I need some advice please from all you lovely ladies out there....
This is the story -
My brother has sponsored his wife's sister to come to Dubai on a Visit Visa (she is Filipino) to help out with their first baby - this is merely as a family member providing support - not as a maid/nanny.
The sister has now found a job as a maid/nanny with another family who will sponsor her to work for them.
Should my brother cancel the Visit Visa? Does the sister need to leave the country before she can be sponsored on an employment visa? Or can the Visit Visa be transferred into an employment visa? If so, can this be done given that my brother sponsored the Visit Visa and the new family will be providing the employment visa i.e. different sponsors....
My brother wants to make sure that this is all done legally and ensure that he is not breaking any rules....
Any advice would be much appreciated!
TIA

If she is on a visit visa, she has to leave the country. Her new sponsor should apply for a visa as usual. Do not declare the girl as being in the country when you apply for the entry permit. This is not illegal, as she will be leaving the country on her old visa and entering on the new one. Once the new entry permit is ready, book the girl on a return trip to kish island. She can go straight there and straight back again BUT make sure she has the new entry permit with her. Book on the early flight - about 8 a.m., and back on the early afternoon flight. No need to stay overnight on kish. As she leaves Dubai her old visit visa is cancelled in the system. She comes back in on her new entry permit, which must be stamped with the arrival date on entry. Then she has all of the usual visa proceedures to go through (medical etc). You can no longer pay to transfer a visit visa into an employment visa. You have to leave the country and come back in.
