Hi

My Mum and Aunty are coming over this weekend for a visit and I wanted to try out the new fish pedicure.

Has anyone been and can anyone recommend anywhere perhaps with a promotion on?

Thanks

Emma

... Hubby made himself look ridiculous though, by giggling like a schoolgirl! Hahahahaha. I feel his pain - I couldn't control myself either. *silly* :)

Has anyone gone to the facility in Dubai the one near Chilis on Beach Road? Was it clean, did you have any problems with infection after? Looking to try this but [b'>not sure about the safety/cleanliness[/b'>? Anyone have any input/suggestions? Many thanks. for you or the fish ?? lol

Its 50dhs in Wild Wadi for about 25 minutes, I had it done there and yes you have to pay entry to the park, the fish are just an "extra". I enjoyed it a lot and my legs did feel smother afterwards! :)

I have had this treatment when I was in Thailand in what was a rather dingy place. I never thought about infection but believe me if I was going to get one, I would have as even the water looked a bit murky - I was beyond caring as I had been out for a few drinks Apparently though the fish excrete enzymes that act as antiseptic (not sure if that is true but my friend who is a spa manager told me this when I panicked the next day) and so I am sure you will be fine where ever you go!

Had one at Wild Wadi and thought it was great... Hubby made himself look ridiculous though, by giggling like a schoolgirl! Don't know of any salons that do it here....But someone else may do..?? Did you have to pay entrance to Wild Wadi then the fish pedi or can you just book for the pedi and go in for just that. My mum would love to have it done when she's over next (goodness knows why - I think it sounds like my worst nightmare!) and thought she'd like to go to WW for it but wondered if you had to pay for the park entrance too. If so, will check out the other place. Not 100% sure pilotprincess but think you have to be in Wild Wadi and can't just pay for the fish spa. We had gone there for the day. I actually liked it, and i must say I'm not a fan of anything or anybody touching my feet. A different experience but i would say one I would do again...Oh and my feet DID look and feel great afterwards. Hope your mum gets to try and enjoy. x

My friend did this at the wild wadi thing, I can't imagine why i mean if you really think about it, it's fishes literally eating your feet off *puke* not a nice thought! she used an entertainer voucher so she got half off but I still don't get the craze! And imagine someone with fungus that went before you! ahhh!

Are you sure you want a fish pedicure after all the press relating to the spread of fungal disease etc?

Dig into some of the old threads about JLT.. There is a parlor in JLT that does it. But I believe they were restricted by the Ministry from doing so.
