For those of you who knew me as QoD or TBM
I know some of you know our story so a quick update since I'm not on much anymore... Reagan is now on Prograf. It's an immunosupressant given to transplant patients to prevent rejection of the transplanted organ. (She didn't have a transplant but her body was mimicking organ rejection and rejecting her kidneys) She has been on since the end of August and her kidneys have been functioning normal since about a week after the first dose. She is also now on a very low dose of prednisone. So, she is down from 6 medications multiple times a day to 4 pills per day. At age 3 she swallows the pills with no liquid!!!! Fingers crossed that she continues this way because if so, she will be weaned off in another 2 years and only started again if her kidneys stop functioning properly.
Thanks again for all the advice and good thoughts sent her way.
