I did it once a couple of years ago...lost around 3kg. And then gained 4 kg in the next few weeks that followed. I think it works as a quick fix but as soon as you start eating normally, the kgs will be back with a vengeance.

I also can't stand cabbage so I am using the soup recipe and replacing it with Kale (spring greens) which is delicious and I love it. Here's the link to the diet in case anyone wants to join in.... http://www.iimahd.ernet.in/~jajoo/gmdiet.html

I did it a couple of months ago. I lost about 1.5 kg but I gained it back the week after. I eat healthily anyway, but I think it's other issues for me. I found the last day difficult because the fruit juices are sweet and I don't normally drink sweet stuff. Make sure that you get pure 100% fruit juice for this. simpleas, yes it seems similar to the cabbage soup diet, but I can't stand cabbage so I never tried that one.

It looks a bit like the dreaded cabbage soup diet, which only worked with me because I found the soup so disgusting I couldn't eat it :( I'd be interested to know if people are able to keep off the weight they lose long-term? Good luck, MOT, you've got far more guts than I have :D

Hubby and I did it together.Hubby lost 12 kilos after doing it about 3 times. I found it too restrictive and too easy to cheat, as it was quite hard.

A few of the guys at DH's work have done/been doing it. The first guy lost quite a bit of weight, but only did it once, blew out on the 3 'rest days' (or whatever they are and didn't change any habits after, you can imagine what happened! The other guy has done it twice through i think, lost loads of weight. He says he is eating sensibly on the rest days and hoping to eat more sensibly after. Someone else on here was doing it a whie back too, cant remember who though!! Good luck!
