I looked up old threads and many gynecologists mentioned have now left.
I now see Dr Sandya @ Welcare Mirdiff, a lovely Indian lady whose values are not mine. Consequently I find it very difficult to have any rapport with her.
I am looking for a Western gynecologist if possible (male or female).

Loukoum, you've already been given so many names and might be confused by now, but I want to add my suggestion because I love love love my gynecologist to bits: Dr. Andrea Farhat, a German doc. She used to be in the Int. Modern Hospital and opened her own clinic a short while ago. She's now in Western Med Center on Wasl Road (04-3855655). She's a bit rough maybe, not touchy cuddly all the time, but she's a very competent doc with a lot of humor. And she speaks a lot of languages: German, English, Arabic and Russian which may be helpful to you.

i like mine very much at the american hospital. dr nasreen. she is american pakastani. and is american board certified, had her own practice in the states for 15 years but recently moved here because her husbands job. also there is an indian lady at american hospital never been to her but have heard from other people that really like her. and there is another lady that was highly reccomended to me when i was searching dr. kosta i think is her name but i cant think of where her clinic is right now... i think she is sweedish? i can look it up for you or ask my friend if you want more info. Dr Grace is the other Indian doc you refer to, I think. A bit old fashioned and set in stone ideas re gynae! no her name is like dr raja... or something like that... there is only like 3 or 4 obgyn there she is the only indian one... on their website they each have a profile and photo... still trying to think of the name of that other place with dr kosta because she too has a profile and photo... Oh yes, sorry, Dr Grace left to go to ? Dubai mall clinic?

Try Dr. Yuliya Mikhael at Cooper Clinic along Al Wasl. She used to practice in City Hospital, but moved to Cooper last June. She is FANTASTIC!
