HI There, I know of someone who will be leaving their house (Palmera 2), 3 bedroom by the lake at the end of October. She is away for one week as of yesterday, but I can check if you are interested when she gets back. Not exactly sure of the rent, but I think around 165k. It's a really cute layout, and lovely to be on the lake. They have bought a house, and I know their lease it is not up yet - so may be a good deal for both of you as they need out, and you need in? Let me know if you are interested in a 3 bedroom....
Thanks Kellsbells, it is good to know that qualified hardworking agents do exist. will try her our. now we just have to find a good landlord to "live with"! Where did you end up yourself? I still am intersted in any direct dealing with landlords.
I don't think you'll be disapointed with Jo.
We ended up in a lovely Saheel villa. As it turns out, DH knows the LL through work, so we could have actually cut out the agent. But luckily we never felt that bitter as Jo had been so great.
I have recently just moved to barsha south and i am sooo happy here as its a quiet area but up coming area so there is construction going on BUT! our Landlord is an amazing Landlord and he is very polite and if you have any problems you call him straight away and within like 2 hours he will be around at the house.
couldnt ask for a better landlord.
There is 2 villa's owned by 2 brothers. one which i have rented and the other one is vancant at the moment.
its 5 bed + maid, brand new and amazing quality finish.
He wants to only rent it to europeans and the rent is 170,000 If your interested then i can give you the owner's number so then you dont have to go through a real estate.
Wow Jojo the rent has gone up loads since your last post or was this or the previous post a typo????

We went through the whole experience last month and we were lucky to be put in touch (through EW) with Joanne Derrick from Betterhomes. She was amazing. And after the first 2 weeks of various other agents I though it was going to be impossible. She changed that and we saw some great properties (she really listened to what it was we were looking for unlike the others who showed us 2 beds when we clearly stated we wanted 3) and in a week had everything signed and sealed.
Nothing is to much for her. She would stop by the new villa and take all sorts of measurments for me and was always on time and always happy to answer questions no matter what time of the day, even Fridays.
Give her a call. Tell her Gareth and Kelly recommended her.

Hi, this is my first attempt at making my own thread on expatwoman. Pls. only comment if you have anything constructive.
We a family of 4 (and a cat) who has been in dubai for almost a year now. we are in the ranches and very happy with the area, but have had so much trouble with our landlord that we have ended our lease and now have untill 30th november to find a new home. at the end we just couldn´t have any more stress in our life due to him. Unfortunately now we have to find a new house, and even though I know there is still a "long" time to find a house, I can´t take another round of real estate agents who are rude and dont care, if they at all get back to me. I check dubizzle every day and have thought of placing a "wanted" post on there, but not sure if it has any effect? Anyone tried that with success?
Now for my real reason for adding this post! Has anyone terminated their lease till end november on a 3-4 bed house in arabian ranches or somewhere close by? My kids go to green community school every morning so access to bypass road is a plus. My husband has to go to the airport in the opposite direction. We could do around 170000 dhs. I prefer a house with a good maintenance contract.
Maybe someone knows of a nice landlord who has more houses, whom I can contact?
Thanks, all help is greatly appreciated.
