Afternoon ladies I wonder if you are able to help. I have a friend in Canada that used to serve in the Canadian Military and is now working as a social/psychological worker to help troops cope with post traumatic stress or PDST as I think it is now called. He recently visited Dubai and was wondering how he would go about working here within the same field. So I was wondering if anyone had any contacts that I could put him in touch with and pass on his CV. Many thanks. I have a lot of British ex military friends here but to be honest have never come across roles that you friend is qualified for My understanding is that there isn't a large need for it out here amongst local serving soldiers. Most of the Western ex forces are in training and the ones that have suffered PTSD tend to remain in the UK etc as they get a lot of local support and help here through various military and charity organisations. Most of the military roles are gained by the old boys network. They all know each other and recruit friends and ex colleagues directly. He may find some Doctors that deal with PTSD in civilian life and I believe a few medical centers here offer this service. They may have some advice if he contacts them
