Hi there. What a wonderful source of information this forum is, thanks everyone.

Does anyone know where I can buy these? Have looked at a few places but no luck as yet. TIA.

Cartridge World have a place in Sharjah. I was in the same boat as you and phoned them a few months ago. They said (at that time) that they would pick-up, refill, then deliver my cartridges. Google them. Worth a try.

Thanks everyone, will follow up all the recommended places. Diamante - I'll be running out of ink soon but still have cartridges. Where exactly is that refilling shop in Karama? Sorry, don't know my way around yet!

If you bought your printer in Europe, you may not be able to find the cartridge here. We discovered the cartridge for our HP was not available here at all. I intended stocking up on cartridges when we travelled back, but then there was that terrorist scare out of Dubai with printer cartridges, so thought better of carrying back a stock in our luggage. We ended up buying the updated model of the same printer here with the ME spec cartridge and I have to say the cartridges barely last any time, we always seem to be replacing them, it's really frustrating. I have since heard an advertisement on the radio for a place which will refill your printer cartridges for you, but I can't remember any of the details.

Plug Ins at Festival city has a huge range of HP ink cartridges. Also charts which shows which cartridges is compatible with which printers.

Times Square Sharaf used to have Vivero but supply was declining ..... changed mine away from this model as was so difficult to get...I still have HP but a different type and now get from Carrefour MOE. Think they have the best supply of ink cartridges in general!

HI Mom (ha that's funny writing that). I do not have the same model printer as you, but I have an HP printer nonetheless. I have recently discovered that the ink cartridges are regionally coded. There is a little chip in the ink cartridges with number (i.e, mine are 363). I have found the exact same cartridges, however they have a different number (177) here. So when I first used the 363 model, the printer made this as the default ink cartridge and will reject any other number. I have decided to bring in my cartridges from Europe, but you can apparently call HP, with a FULL set of new cartridges at hand, and they will assist you over the phone by giving you a series of directions to recode the printer to accept the new cartridges. Apparently you can only ever do this 3 times. So if you know for sure you will go back to place where you bought the printer, it may be worth your while to have them sent over instead of changing all of your settings (because you would have to repeat the exercise when you get home, and not to mention that ay existing ink would be wasted when you do this).
