Well you can still say you don't want it.
But I think the whole story is very funny. I have been here for almost 4 years and I did not even know they existed. One article in the newspaper and all of a sudden they are out there.
It actually costs more money to mint these low denomination coins than the coins are actually worth. It would do better to get rid of them and have businesses change their pricing. I mean the penny (or fil in this case) had a place in society when things actually cost that little. But now, it's a waste.
Absolutely Eva B, I have been here over 10 years and I intend to take my change, maybe one day I will be fed up of the very very very little coins, but at the moment I only have 1 of them

All the people jumping on the bandwagon of the "I want my exact change" are going to feel so sorry when your wallets are heavy with 100 dirhams worth of coins all of a sudden! :) LOL
And what about those times when you've been short 15 fils...and they just chalk it up. Happened to me many times. I'm sure it doesn't even out or end up in my favor, but it sure is much more convenient than having to stand there digging around in my purse or putting back an item because I'm short some change.
