Days, weeks, months and years go by here so quickly. Can't believe I have been here over 3 years, feels like just yesterday was 2008. And it is 4 months until Christmas - my UK friends sent out dates for Christmas girls nights out - scary! Haven't had my sumemr holidays yet

This summer has flown by, I can't believe that we're back to school in two weeks. Really must get on with the dreaded summer scrapbook LOL

i once read a scientific explanation as to why our perception of the passage of time changes as we age...can't remember it all now but what stuck with me was the theory that as children, a day, for example, represents a much bigger proportion of our life so far..the older we get the smaller proportion of our life our day becomes, so would seem shorter... probably complete blcks but at the time it seemed reasonable lol

I thought I was the only one feeling that 2011 passed so quickly. Well, I think we are just so busy with life , work and some with their families , that the time passes faster for us.Or we simply lose track of time . Days usually drag , when you don't have much to do at home or that you are bored at work. I remember the time I was working at this horrible Furniture store and the timing was till 9 PM . The days were just too long. The five months that I worked there , seemed like five years to me .

While we were in Doha, time dragged something awful at times but looking back, our 2 years there now seems like a very long time ago. We feel that we have never been away now that we are home almost 7 months. I still like to come on here and post on these threads as it was part of what kept me sane while I was there and spent many hours on EW although I did find a few things to pass the time. Not working was, for me, the biggest challenge.

Not just the days - the weeks and months fly by, too. Can't believe Ramadan is already more than half way over and that, when it is, it will be September and we'll be two thirds of the way through the year. How come 2011 has passed by so quickly? Before we know it it will be Christmas and New Year again. But, of course, that brings with it the glorious weather so perhaps I shouldn't compain too much ...

Oh no, my days are dragging but the nights are going fast! Trying to keep 2 kids entertained during vacation time when we have moved house twice, have to buy furniture etc is making us all crazy! I will be sending them to Summer Camp on Sunday so they don't wear out the Wii and the community pool! I can hopefully get some work done!! It seems that as soon as I have put them to bed, that the night is over...

I don't think it helps that it gets dark so early... one of the hardest things for my youngest to adjust to when we got to UK for the summer was going to bed in the daylight...light evenings feel weird for me too lol

It is 10:30 pm!!! Where did the day go? I swear I look at the clock, and look again in a few seconds, and it is like an hour later!! But when I travel to other countries, the day appears to be longer. How is that? It supposed to be quick when i enjoy (holiday) and slow when i do not (work...), but seems the other way around!
