We had a great time at Iceland waterpark. A bit of a faff to get in but huge area for kids that my DD loved and plenty to keep DH entertained. Food prices were reasonable although they had no high chairs when we visited. The feet tip in previous post is to be heeded but just keep your flip flops on and there are storages for them next to each of the slides so no biggy. Cant comment on the health and safety as we didnt notice any issues, ignorance is bliss as they say.

I wouldnt waste the petrol money. We visited a few weeks ago and were hugely disappointed. The lack of Health and Safety at the park caused us great concern and we wondered how they've managed to open. As its a 'new' park it looks very shabby and a few of the slides were out of order for maintenance. My husband asked a lifeguard if he could go on the kamakaze and was told 'no' as the lifeguard is on his lunch!!!!! One of the slides 'the tornado' is very dangerous. You drop from the bottom of the slide into the water with some force but the depth of the pool is not deep enough. My husband gashed both elbows on the bottom of the pool. (Its a good job it wasnt his head!) There are also 2 diving boards at different heights. Again the lifeguards say that they are suitable for diving but again the pool depth isnt adequate. It wont be before long that someone has a very serious accident (If its not happened already!) My son and husband went on another ride where you both sit in a rubber ring. As they exited the slide whilst still on the ring there was a little boy of around 5 years old at the bottom of the slide looking up. If my husband hadnt have shouted for him to move out of the way who knows what would have happened to him, definate facial injuries if not concussion. The blue flooring that they have poorly layed around the park is a killer on the feet. Its also very dangerous as many of the corners were turned up causing people to trip and fall. Its not suprising that the 'customer service'?????????? showed no interest whatsoever in our concerns. Will definately not be returning as I value my families lives!!
