ID Card with wrong details!

I hope someone can help.
Our maid has just picked up her ID card from the post office and we have discovered it has the wrong details: she is classed as male and the expiry date reads as 2012 instead of 2013. Where do we begin to rectify this? Do we go to the branch in Al Barsha and will we need to pay for a new one? I cant seem to find much info off the gov website.
TIA

I let DH sort out DD'S I'd card and her gender says male but I'm going to bother with the hassle of changing it bearing in mind she is only 4! There are not many places actually I don't know any that requires you to produce your ID card but I'm more than happy to stand corrected.

Mine too was incorrect. Only showed my first name and no last name. When i went back to correct it they said it doesn t matter, too many cards with mistakes !

I collected my card in April, all my details were incorrect. I went back to the Emirates ID office, it didn't cost anything to update, they took the incorrect card and said I would get an sms in 2 days to collect the reprinted card. I am still waiting. I have been back to the office at least 4 times with my proof of re-application, they have no record of my visit and each time say someone will call me back to advise what is happening. I have phoned and emailed too to no avail. They photocopy my form each time and thats it. I guess I am going to have to pay the full amount again to have this reissued :-(

Mine and DS's were both wrong. EIDA sent me an SMS to tell me to bring them back.

They normally tell you to take it to the EIDA main office in Barsha. We had hubby's id card done at Marina's Just in Time branch and they spelled his name wrong on the card. We were told once issued, any changes need to go through the main office. HTH. Dont think it cost anything.

Take card, passport and Maid to nearest Emirates ID and explain the situation. edited by mrswhippy on 09/10/2012
