I was told if it smells of wee, then it's probably not the best place. You need to look at how often everything is cleaned, not just the floors but the toys as well. Ask what their policy is about sending children home if they are ill. Ask what the staff turnover is, ratio of staff to children (as babies my DD's nursery was 3:1). And don't forget to go with your gut, if it feels right it probably is.
baby no 1 on his way. how do i choose a nursery? what are the criteria to look for? did you have a check list of things to look out for? i spoke to a lady the other day where the term fees are dhs.10k but it doesnt even include food. i know a baby doesnt need 'food' per se, and i dont want to skimp on fees as this is my child we're talking about, but 10k for bog standard services seems extreme. also, how long in advance do i need to check availability?
thanks ladies, any suggestions would be helpful.
