Is there such a thing? The ones I have looked at seem very professional, DD really just want to run around in a pink skirt ;-). In New Dubai area, preferable with a pay as you go structure (asking a lot I know). I came across Lisa Dance, any feed back there?

Thanks for any leads!

Those classes in JBR sound good too, the ones I got are in Al Ghazal Mall (Jumeia 1, Al Diyafa street/road), we got 8 lessons in total as bought 2 vouchers with 4 lessons each for AED 88 through dealsNmeals.com, thought that was a pretty cool offer too. If DD sticks to it, might look into moving lessons to JBR afterwards as its a bit closer to us, as long as it is not too formal. But we're already doing 1800 worth of ASA's per term, so don't wanna add something too expensive, what are the normal rates there? Any recommendation for the outfit, where to buy for not too expensive? Thanks ladies!

I saw a deal on dealgobbler. AED 45 for two classes at Spadunya, it's at JBR. It includes kids ballet, and i don't think it's very formal. Might be worth to check out if you're looking at just having your DD try it out first and see if she really likes it.

Hello ladies, anyone know where to buy reasonable priced ballet clothes? Since 2 friends in my 5YO class are doing ballet she likes their outfits and now wants to do ballet too... She's doing quit a few other ASA's already so I told her she has to wait for next term but now found a fantastic deal at AED 22 per class only so the tooth-fairy is bringing ballet classes tonight, lol. But I kinda feel the novelty will wear off soon enough so don't really want to splurge on a AED 500 outfit that's gonna end up in the back of the cupboard after a few lessons... Any suggestions?

I contacted Lisa dance as my daughter was very shy and only wanted to join a class to watch the ballerinas. dd has been asking for over a year for a dance class but refused to dance and most classes I found were very pushy and would try & force her to participate fully (she learns by watching and then replicates at home what she saw). Lisa was the only teacher who gave me the go ahead, she took a super relaxed approach with dd and after 3 lessons dd started dancing in class and has been blossoming ever since. Now after 5 lessons is participating in every single activity, I felt Lisa understood the kids different learning styles and gave them space to be themselves. Super Kudos to Lisa! lol :D

Hi! I have discovered a new Ballet School at Dubai Media City - Gloria Hotel. I attend the advanced classes that are excellent. The teacher, Reiko, has classes for children too. She is very sweet and focuses on the joy of dancing, what she defintely has. You can pay for one class or per term. You should give her a call 055 362 6435. Have a lovely day!

Thank you AF3, I did look at them, nice to know they are not too formal. Still it was about 1000 aed for a season, seems like a lot to me when I don't know if DD would like it. Any you can do without paying for an entire season? BC
