Jumeirah Islands 3 is indeed part of Jumeirah Islands, which is a completely different development to Jumeirah Village. As GirlAnachronism says, they're located very close to each other, but they're not the same. You never hear anything about JI any more. It was big news when it first opened, but now - nothing.

Could be wrong but I think that would be part of Jumeirah Islands not Jumeirah Village Triangle; they are right next to each other though, connected by a small road at the moment. The villas in the Islands are very different to the Triangle ones...
