Hello,

We are considering a move to JVT and am looking for some information and any advice on whether to do it.

- Can you get connected to the internet okay??
- Can you order a taxi (and it arrive)
- Does it look like things are progessing with finishing things off (from an outsider I would say yes - but are they just moving things arrive)
- What problems have people encountered living there?

Sorry for the inquistion but I really don't know whether to proceed???

Thanks

Sorry for the inquistion but I really don't know whether to proceed??? Thanks Hi - JVC and JVT are completely different and on opposite sides of the road. I live in JVT it is very easy to get internet connected, taxi's are relatively good apart from on a Thursday evening when you need to book well in advance. Recently JVT has been worked on a lot and they appear to be building a park near my villa....lots more villas have been released. We are very happy there and the neighbourhood is very friendly. However just be careful which street you move into. Due to the large gardens it means there are lots of dogs. I have a dog too but luckily he is not a barker.....some of the dogs bark a lot...other than that i really love JVT. Hope this helps. There are a few threads on JVT on EW so try searching if you need anymore info... hope this helps

Hi Cherryblossom77, I live in the Jumeirah Village Circle and below are my comments on your queries: - Can you get connected to the internet okay?? - Yes, internet is fine, though you do not have an option, you have to go by Du. (etisalat is unavailable) - Can you order a taxi (and it arrive) - Yes, you will have to order for a taxi and it arrives. You cannot walk to the road to find one! - Does it look like things are progessing with finishing things off (from an outsider I would say yes - but are they just moving things arrive) - things were initially very very slow!! But now it seems to be picking up. However, I would give it alt least a year or 2 before all is done!! - What problems have people encountered living there? - Biggest problem - none of the restaurants even KFC & Pizzahut dont deliver in this area. Very few options that ways. Street lights have still not been turned on though its been set up ages ago! The continous construction on the nearby roads means you are forever altering your route to get out of the community to the main road! And during a sandstorm...your balconies are definitely filled in sand 'cause thats how open the areas is with (obviously) loads of sand around! The only reason I'm still here? Coz my apartment is HUGE! the day I get a similar sized apartment for the same rent, in other areas in New Dubai, I am moving out!!
