Glad you received better service than I Nellie. I think you're right about a different level a service as you'd bought your vacuum from them. Maybe they weren't too bothered helping me as I'd bought an 8 year old kirby second hand? Kirbys have a 3 year warranty which covers defects in material & workmanship so it's good to hear they're only charging for travel costs.

Sorry to hear about your experience but was just raving about them today. I called them Tuesday for parts. They came yesterday to pick up my machine so they can service it. Today they called and said they fixed the part that was broken for free and I will have my machine back by Sunday. All for the price of only 50 dirhams. Just to cover their travel I guess. When I called them a few months ago for bags, the lady came the next day to deliver it and spend an hour to remind me how to use the washing tools. They also call me very 6 months to ask if I need anything. I bought my machine from them so could make the difference . Love my Kirby!!

I recently succumbed to buying a second hand Kirby Sentria vacuum cleaner from Dubizzle. Having used one in the UK, I'm a Kirby fan & looked forward to using one here. However, I thought all was lost when it took me over 3 weeks to get any response from the totally lousy kirby dealers over here. All I wanted was a number of replacement nozzles etc & to arrange for a service. When I finally received a quotation for the replacement parts, I totally gave up on using any dealership here & chose to order my parts direct from the UK. One quick phone call, 1 email & 10 days later I'd received my replacement parts for 617 dhs, which included postage & packing from the UK. Rather than 1,410 dhs I'd been quoted from a dealer in Sharjah!!! http://www.elikirbyclub.co.uk
