Leaving Dubai, what do we tell the school?

Read your terms and conditions on the school web site. All the schools have different policies on return or payment of fees.

Depends on the school...some have a terms notice worked into your contract, in which case (if leaving without that much notice) you can apply to their board of governers for your deposit back...if you are at one of those schools that takes one, of course. You do need quite a bit of time to sort the school testimonials, and transfer certificate so a terms notice seems the norm, even without the hassle of deposits back etc.

they should charge you pro-rata, although if they are doing instrumental lessons etc you u usually need to give a terms notice.

We are having to leave Dubai at the end of ther month as things have not worked out sadly. Will they school hold us to the whole years' fees? Advice much apprecatied. TIA
