A little wary ........
After 2 yrs here I’ve decided I need a UAE credit card .....I bank with NBD and am very keen on the Infinity Skywards card (for point collecting obvious reasons).
So, I press the appropriate ‘apply for card’ buttons on the NBD web site to be told I’ll be contacted by an NBD rep in due course. Today I get a call from an apparent NBD rep requesting a meeting with me (I work in Abu Dhabi, but that was no problem for him), I need to give him copies of my passport, visa and salary cert (I’ll not have a salary cert by tmrw I told him!) but that’s no prob I can fill in and sign the forms then email him the salary cert once I have it ......then my credit card will be delivered to me at home in Dubai.
Now call me sceptical or just plain old careful, but is this normal process???? As lazy as I am I kind of feel I’d feel more comfortable going into a NBD branch to sort out a credit card application...
Thoughts ladies?
