I lived in an apartment in Al warqa and enjoyed my time there. It was very peaceful with plenty of shops close by. Mirdif City Centre had just opened when we moved but we still venture down there as it's a great mall. Used to take just 15 mins to Dubai Mall which was handy. Ideal location for the schools! We didn't have kids when we lived there so can't comment on that side of it but I can't imagine the area not being child friendly. I used to spend a lot of time in the french bakery! Good job i moved really

hi, I'm considering few places which are al Badia residences, Al Warqa villa and Dubai Silicon Oasis. my kids are 6 and 8 years old. Wil be in Repton and Deira International schools. my husband looked at apartment in al Badia. is al badia good for family? What about Al Warqa? is Al Warqa a place for an expat can enjoy normal routine? I know DSO is an isolated place. But now do they have good amenities around? Hope to get some ideas from all of you!
