I have recently moved to Dubai from the UK and i needed to continue with my inivsalign treatment with a new clinic and have cleaning etc. I went to Just White Dental Clinic in JBR, can really recommend the clinic - all the staff are from the UK and they made me feel very at ease, I saw Dr Daniel - would certainly recommend and good location for marina/JBR, they have free valet parking too which was great :)

Dr. Chris Johansson from Dr. Micheals is good. For implants, I recommend Dr. Steen at the same clinic.

Dr. Gabriel is a gem. It is hard to find reliable and skilled dentist in Dubai and Dr. Gabriel is one you can really trust. He is now at the Dental Studio in Jumeriah.

we have used the Sky Clinic in the Burjumman Office tower for years. Great team of dentists there - Dr Max is awesome and very funny even with a drill in his hand!! makes you very releaxed plus you get the most amazing views over the creek as they are on the 26th floor. I second that. Had a treatment from him last year. The whole team is great. Superb services. Just one hitch, this clinic is expensive. If your insurance covers your entire treatment cost, then surely this is the best place in town!

Try Dr. Zul from Noa dental clinic. Got my front 2 veneers done with him and I must say that I was quite impressed. I would definitely recommend him.

Ever since working as a dental nurse, I have developed a morbid fear of the dentist. I went as and when I absolutely needed urgent treatment and didn't develop a relationship with any dentist. I had a tooth disintegrate late last year which forced my hand. I went go see Dr Laiju at the clinic in Arabian Ranches, mediclinic. She is absolutely lovely, really patient and takes things really slowly. Her nurse is also lovely. I NEVER visit the dentist though without my iPod. I find the music distracting and goes someway to drowning out the noise of the drill. I have had a lot of work done recently including a new crown and am very happy.

Dr Nora Powell at the Dubai London clinic is excellent. I have been with her for the past 8 years. She's great and has a great sense of humor which also helps if you're a bit nervous

Dr. Nazarian in DentCare clinic in healthcare city is our family dentist and hes very good. he takes his time to explain things to you (I like to have details of what's being done) and generally makes patients very comfortable. I highly recommend him.

I use Dr Michaels on Al Wasl road too. Ask for Dr. Gabrial (American or Canadian). Dr. Gabriel is a great dentist too. He's done surgery for one of my friends. He's American I think.

I recommend Dr. Alex (Swedish) and Dr. Ulrike (German) at Dr. Michael's Dental Clinic. They also do sedation dentistry if your an anxious patient. :)

I recommend tha you go to Smiline in Fairmont Hotel Shk Zayed Rd. You do want a very calm, gentle, excellent Dentist to handle such "scary" situation (I call it scary with all the tools they use :)), don't you? Contact them at 043315991 and book an appointment with Dr. Sherri. She is great and pretty. You would love to stare at her while she does her work, it's relaxing, I used to see her in her previous clinic...;) Yikes.... :\: captainjacky, just trying to say how this works on me. i feel lady dentists are calmer...;) and u are right, quite embarassing to stare at a goodlooking male dentist;) might as well close both eyes edited by myca1215 on 02/05/2012

And whilst he has a very pleasant face, I'm not sure that staring at him during treatment wouldn't entirely freak him out...lol edited by captainjacky on 02/05/2012

I use Dr Michaels on Al Wasl road too. Ask for Dr. Gabrial (American or Canadian). My husband was the same (a jibbering wreck) had never visited the dentist for over 40 years since having a bad experience as a child. I forwarned them of his fear and now after nearly ten years he actually looks forward to our 6 monthly check ups. Hope this helps!

Based on the advice of EW, my DH / DD go to Dr Madhu in Karama who is apparently excellent. I suffer extreme dental phobia (the only thing I've had done in 20 years was done under intervenous sedation) and had to go to a dentist here in an emergancy and a girlfriend recommended Dr Michael on Al Wasl road. I turned up there a shaking sobbing wreck (worse that DH was away so had to go myself) and I was put into the very capable hands of a lovely Swedish lady called Eva Gorton. She crowned my disintegrating tooth (using nitrous oxide as sedation) and since then I've had a check up, a filling and seen the hygeinist (all without sedation). I would highly recommend her.

My dentist is a good one. He is french. Let me know if you are interested. The other day, they were mentioning on Radio 2, morning, a cabinet with an amazing view on Dubai + funky music and disco ball ! And the presenter said they were good too.. I would love to go there at least once in my life (I hate going to the dentist...). Maybe someone knows who it is, I didn't catch the name ;-(
