Oh God the irony! You purchased a drug that is banned world wide second hand yet you are telling the OP no? ????? i said i purchased for myself, i risked only my own health. i told her her only chance is to give to some individual who will take the risk, organizations (doctors, charities) will not accept it which part of my post was not in English for you??

no. and i know it for sure. neither pharmacies, nor hospitals or charities will accept it. in the second when you cross the door of the pharmacy it is out of their controll. you may have injected something funny into it, or just kept above the recommended temperatures, who knows. They will discard it, it is law. pharmaceutical industry is very regulated. the only chance is to give it to individuals (friends or family) who trust you. i bought some reductil when i needed it through EW actually, they discontinued that pill so my only chance was to buy it second hand. i took the risk and it worked very well, but no sane doctor would recommend it. there is a difference when i take a risk for myself, or give it to others as a doctor or pharmacist who do not know how i got it.

You must give it back to pharmacy for disposal, they might have schemes for giving to less fortunate Every time I took unused medicines back to a pharmacy, they looked at me like I was nuts and told me to throw it in the bin. Hopeless! Does anyone know of a pharmacy that actually does take meds for correct disposal?

My prescription had been changed by my doctor so I was left with a 3-4 week supply of my old one. I had called the hospital that I use, and the one that I had previously used and they said that they don't take medications back and that I would have to throw it out. (??????)

I want to give these away to a doctor who helps the laborers in the camps. I do not know how to contact them.

Absolutely no way. Your intentions are well meant but all unused medicines should be returned to the pharmacy for destroying. Never give prescribed drugs to another person or even needy people no matter how kindly thought of. edited by JoyceB on 21/08/2011
