If you have the Family Entertainer Book, have a look in there as I'm pretty sure there are some vouchers for fishing trips.

Oh, LIL, I'm sorry, I know there were 8 colleagues who clubbed together to hire the boat and they paid AED250 per head, which means it would be AED1000 for each of your friends..

thanks ladies. the problem is this - I have 2 friends here on Saturday only from abroad and have promised them deep sea fishing on Saturday. I was STUPID enough to buy a voucher from Groupon for a fishing trip and booked it for 2 ppl over 2 weeks ago. At the time, the guy said that he needed a minimum of 7 ppl before he could take the boat out (which of course they did not mention on the voucher before you buy it) but he ASSURED me that there would be enough ppl as the reservation was made 2 weeks ago. I have been calling him every day this week and of course he has no one else for the trip on Saturday. So I am now left with 2 vouchers for this useless ****** company and no fishing arranged for my friends :( I have called Jebel Ali resort but they dont do individual trips - you have to book the full boat which is Dhs2,400 which is just too much for 2 ppl. Any suggestions? :(

Hi simpleasabc, I noticed a thread you had posted about a fishing trip company recently. Did you get the name of the company please? Call Jebel Ai Hotel Resort, the golf side, they organsie trips for fishing, brilliantly organised. HTH

Sorry, LIL, I asked and he didn't know, he needs to ask his colleagues here but as he is wandering around India at the mo, I won't get an answer from him till next week.
