We are planning to move to JBR this June. With two kids (3 year old and 11 month old), we are going to be focusing our search on 3 bedrooms. Any recommendations on the best clusters offering quick access to restaurants, beach, etc? We heard that some clusters have better finishing than others. Is that true? We registered our baby at the nursery in Bahar, so are hoping to be walking distance to it. Looking forward to some advice on life at JBR and which cluster may be best to focus our search on. Thanks!

We have lived in Amwaj for three years, about to renew for another year and love it. The sector you choose really depends on what you want. I believe Sadaf has lots of children, whereas Amwaj is quieter. Rimal and Murjan have Mosques so you need to bear in mind the call to prayer. Sorry can't give any feedback about the nursery. Personally, I wouldn't choose an apartment that is immediately overlooking the Walk or is alongside one of the roads joining the Walk to the main road. People have posted some negative comments about JBR and obviously all places have faults, but to have all the amenities of the Walk, the beach over the road and several bars in hotels to use, suits us perfectly.

Thank you for your replies. As for the Nursery in Bahar, I have not tried it yet, so can't rate it. However, I have not heard any negative feedback and it looked quite good when I took the tour. Also, we are keen on the convenience as I work in Abu Dhabi and my husband is in sales, and this makes it very tricky to pick up our children from school in the afternoons. So the idea of our nanny being able to walk her to nursery is great. We still need to find a solution for our 3 year old, as Kings Dubai has no school buses. Perhaps we will seek out other parents in JBR who have kids in Kings Dubai. Still look forward to other feedback on JBR. Perhaps some are aware of towers to avoid for what ever reason. For now, due to the proximity to the nursery, I am still keen on Bahar and Rimal. Rimal aslo has Kidville, which offers great after school activities for our 3 year old.

Hi, the clusters which are near the restaurants are Bahar, Rimal and Amwaj. There are few buildings which have better finishings, like Murjan 3, but they're also more expensive. Are you recommending the nursery of Al Bahar? Thanks. edited by KB75 on 03/04/2011

We stayed for a few months with a friend in Bahar 5 and it was ok. We used to go to the pool near the nursery and the kids looked like they were having fun there. They are all within walking distance of each other, the restaurants and the beach, it's just a bit hot in the Summer to be out and about so the closer to the nursery the better. I haven't heard about difference in finishing between the clusters.
