Burning smell and smoke? Not good. After 12 years, even if you've hardly used it, the internal electricals will have deteriorated and some of the rubber inside will have perished. Plug it into another outlet and if it still doesn't work then its probably time to give it a decent burial.

Morning all
My Food processor of 12 years (which was hardly used) has packed up! Used it one weekend and burning smell and smoke was coming out. I first thought it was the fuse but after that I was too scared to touch it and since its still sitting on my kitchen worktop am wondering whether it can be fixed if not where can I dispose it.
Thanks.
