I have done research and published papers in gyne...but I am out of date by 9 years. That said, whether or not to take hormones is a very serious issue to discuss with your physician. If I were to roll a dice (as I don't know you) I would say do not take hormones.
But your health deserves better insight so please go to a current professional and listen and ask questions...you will be pleasantly surprised at what your lovely body can do with only a wee bit of help.
I guess I am trying to advise to spend as much time with your tuned in gyne as with your herbologist etc.
Shine on girls!
Thanks Sue, I'm going to give it a go and will let you know how I get on. Alive, I will check out Boots here and let you know if they have it - however if you get there first please let me know. I've tried glucosamine and chrondoytin for my neck in the past but it hasn't worked.
You could try dr Heather Eade in dubai mall clinic. she is not specifically a menopause doctor but she will cover that - she prescribed me all natural supplements for specifically this sort of thing and I feel better.
I take glucosamine for the achy joints ( osteo -arthritis !!! )
Hi, it's a small magnet you wear either side of your knickers!! A friend in the UK told me about them a few years ago as it had made a huge difference to her symptoms. My sister in law in the UK is a GP and I was asking her if she knew about them at Christmas. She said although there is no scientific evidence, many of her female patients rave about it. You would only ever get an opinion based on someone else's experience, so your call at the end of the day. I am comforted by the fact that the main UK stockist apart from the website is Boots, which being a Brit I feel gives it some credibility!!
I have just been on the site, it looks very interesting but I couldn't seem to find much detail on what exactly it is. Have you or someone you know tried it? And if so what were the results? I'm weary of things sold over the Internet promising miracles unless I know someone who can verify it......
My gynie is sick and I need a good doc to help with my menopause symptoms..... Have started to get very achy joints in my hands - it started overnight about 6 months ago and has really surprised me and now my left hip's starting to ache! I don't want to go down the route of HRT as I'm terrified of breast cancer but need to do something. I do believe in bio identical hormones etc...... Please help!
