Pepps, I am only eating lean meat ( 3 x a week ) , no prawns or shellfish as I read somewhere that they might increase the cholesterol levels. Eating pork once a week and then fish ( mostly salm ) and chicken-without the skin. No choch's or cookies ( ok.....had a small piece of choch three weeks ago but, it was that or knawing on my fingers ) I cut out all sugar in my coffee and tea ( horrible to say the least ) low fat milk and milk products, cholesterol free margarine etc. But nothing seems to help, my father and grandfather also has high cholesterol but dr says as I have restless legs that the medication usually used for high chol.might worsen my legs as it sometimes cause leg cramps.
Do any of you maybe know of a good nutritionist that I can contact for high cholesterol, hypertension and pre-diabetic ? I tried eating more healhty and excersing but after three months my cholesterol etc. numbers are still rising.
