Anyone know of spacious 2/3 bedroom apartments that are available in Oud Metha/near Healthcare city? It seems very difficult to find one or the agencies are not advertising them.

there are definitely many apartments there... u can try contacting our former real estate agent BU HALEEBA PROPERTIES... they have 2 bedrooms with balcony going at around 60K... not sure if they have any 3 bedrooms though... ask specifically for a building called Dr. Mustafa Building (which is located just beside Families Supermarket) They have rooms available - will be walking past at lunch time - will get the number for you. As a note; take a drive round or a walk - loads of buildings have numbers on them. Another great reason to take a drive around here is to see if you can tolerate the oblivious way people drive around here. I look 6-7 times before I cross the street. The eclectic nature of the shops and haunts around here is reminiscent to me of NYC..which is pretty cool.

We used to live in a lovely apartment just opp. Wafi in Healthcare City - quite spacious too. Literally it's just opp. the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery - managed by Excel Properties...here's an ad on Dubizzle for a 3 bed: http://tnydu.biz/Dfvwo7 Has a great gym and nice pool area, steam room, jacuzzis, sauna, French Bakery underneath, Carrefour Express opposite at Wafi and the area is quiet...loved living there and only moved out due to having to re-locate to Doha... You could also take a look at the apartments close to the Movenpick next to Lamcy - there are many apartment blocks on that side that are only a few years old (next to and behind the gas station). Maybe have a drive down there, park at Wafi and cross over the road to check the buildings out. Also, I noticed some nice apartments down Oud Metha Road, haven't checked them out, but they are just next to the Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance office - beige/terracotta colour building - only been up a few years.... <em>edited by chizz on 02/01/2012</em>
