Hello everyone!

So I am here :) yeah! I need some places that sell relatively cheap clothes, I underestimated my wardrobe and it's ability to adapt to hot weather also I am setting up home so need to keep the purse strings tight!

There are so many malls I don't know where to start. I am looking for casual and also for some suitable work clothes...Drama teacher, I used to wear cardis with long dresses and leggings in UK.
Mostly I need some colour in my wardrobe!!

Please help :) x

forever 21 is great for casual jersey wear and i have the odd work outfit too. cornish pixie is right - offices tend to be freezing - i always have a spare cardie and a pashmina.

You might find that the AC is set quite low at work so you might still need your cardi occasionally. I know when my kids were at school here they both wore their sweaters during the day at school coz it was so cold inside!

i love zaras (in deira cc, or moe) leggings but you can find fun things at forever 21 and h&m (dubai mall and ibn battuta and moe )too... both colorful and really great basic things, and for a pop of funk and color i love top shop, miss self ridges (dubai mall), iconic (deira cc) or debenhams (moe) i really love those stores, andthe outlet mall is totally worth checking out. i rarely ever get over to festival city or mirdiff, but ido enjoy both malls because of how quiet and organized they seem. edited by julzandrews on 15/08/2011

Hi, welcome to Dubai. I would recommend the Outlet Mall, many of the shops have good quality clothes at half price. Monsoon is always worth a look. Tchibo (also in Mirdif City Centre & Outlet Mall) sell good clothes at less than AED 30. Splash is also a good bet. Ask in shops how to be put on their text message list, you will be texted the day before when the sale is about to start.

hi Hedley welcome to Dubai! Wouldnt worry too much no ones wardrobe can adapt to this temperature today was soooo hot! It will get better and of course dont forget working in an air conditioned building can get chilly too. I find lots of work clothes from stores like Zara, Mango and sometimes M&S. Another couple of faves are Promod and American Eagle. All these stores are on most malls, depends where you live but Mall of the Emirates and Mirdif City centre are good ones to try. Good luck and enjoy Dubai! :)
