Hi Lili, a friend of mine, a South African girl who lives here in Dubai, does safaris and trips to S A. I'm sure she can answer your questions for you. Her website is sasafari dot com.
Lili,
We were in CT last Easter, it was fab!! Everyone that we came into contact with was helpful and friendly, felt just as safe/unsafe as if I had been in London. Just be careful I'd say. Have a great time, we absolutely loved SA!!!
Hi Lili,
About your query on safety - Cape Town is the safer part of South Africa. You of course need to be careful and sensible as you would need to be in any country. I don't know any tour operators in Cape Town personally so could not recommend anyone. As I come from SA I usually don't use tour companies :)
So the Kruger Park - are you planning on staying inside the park or do you want to stay outside the park? There are several different gates and they are all really quite far away from each other. Secondly are you looking for camping/luxury lodging/self catering? There are many different options. Take a look at this website http://safari.com/kruger-national-park

We used this tour company when we were in Cape Town in December last year. They do all sorts of things (we specifically used them for a wine tour of the Constantia Valley).
Really personal service, would recommend to anyone!

We are a family of 3 interested in visiting South Africa. I have a couple of questions if some of you could help me:
1- Could you recommand a good lodge in Kruger National Park? I have different names but I would like a lodge somebody knows personally
2- Do you know any local tours agent in Cape town which will be able to take us sightseeing around the area?
3- There are a lot of horror stories regarding criminality in South Africa. How safe is Cape town. Is it ok to go there? Which area should be avoided?
Thanks in advance for all your replies :)
