has anyone done this please, and if so, is it cheaper to do with DEWA water, ie the hosepipe, or by getting in a tank of water.

Our pool guy is saying DEWA is cheaper but I'm a bit sceptical!

Any contact numbers for water tanker suppliers too gratefully received

Thanks

thanks busybee - hope we can get a tanker - don't want any more problems. Have worked out how to stop it all magically refilling - the pool guy omitted that vital bit of information this morning!

I saw you say that on this thread - unfortunately plum never posted the details! http://www.expatwoman.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=159709 Will have to keep my eyes peeled for a tanker because you are not supposed to. you are meant to use a tanker to fill it up and not use your normal water supplier because it puts too much pressure on their system using x amount of cubic metres etc etc. but at the end of the day if the municipality found out you could be in trouble, but at the end of the day with most things here you do as you wish and accept the consequences if caught.

thanks plum! not holding out much hope for our pool guys knowing which way is up to be honest - he showed me how to empty the pool and switch the pump etc off when empty - have done the jacuzzi and the things now magically refilled itself and overflowing! DH will have a hissy fit when he finds out! Have just phoned them up to come back and sort as my garden is waterlogged in the space of a half hour's school run!

That's because I never knew the details sorry. Our pool maintenance person organised the tankers. We had 2 tankers and it still didn't fill the pool so we topped up with DEWA. I will get my husband to call him and see if he can get a number. My DH should remember how much it cost though. The water was absolutely boiling when it came out of the tanker. Is that as it comes from the factory? Back in September it took a long time to cool down but that should be a lot quicker now it's cooler at night.

Tanker is quicker and easier, u have to be careful with your pump etc as to run the water from dewa continually I've know people's pumps to break down. We had a tanker but the pool people organised it. The water will be warm from the tanker but after a few days will be fine. thank you - will speak with pool guy's boss!! Might get a bit more sense out of him.
